I'm not sure if I will be meeting with Dr. McCauley for the second time at 8:15 A. M at the V. A. Hospital for more tests and how best, to either cure or help lessen the problem of the double vision.  My appointment on March 16th was canceled and I received a new appointment but it didn't state who or why I had an appointment with!  Time will tell.

Well I didn't meet with McCauley and first I had my eyes tested for vision and pressure and that was fine.  Then two doctors checked me out and said:

  • We could use steroids but usually do not work until a year is passed, if ever.
  • I am lucky I still can see a single vision at one point in the center of my viewing.
  • Prisms in glasses wouldn't help.
  • Use glasses with one side blanked out or an eye patch if necessary.
  • There isn't anything we can do.

So that is the story at this point and so it sounds like I will have to live with this the rest of my life!
