Yerba Buena Center for the Arts ~ 01.16.2012

While I was at the Modern Art Museum having coffee and a croissant this morning I saw a lot of people milling around the area.  Strange I thought so I went out to see what was going on.  Well there were lots of people in the park with music and then I noticed the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts was having a free day to visit the current exhibit, "The Matter Within" about new contemporary art of India.  There were lots of photos and I don't know if they were appropriate for young children as there were many photos of a European man and a younger Indian man in sexual positions.    There were interesting sculptures and one I liked was a lizard made out of plastic bottles, they looked like the pink Pepto Biso bottles!  All in all many interesting photos and sculptures plus the great views from inside and outside the museum and the Yerba Buena Gardens!

Very modern and rather cold to my view point.

Great apartment and condo buildings around the museum!

Interesting windows on the face of the museum.

Great views from the largest exhibit hall.

Indian woman/goddess in repose!
